Mudra Challenge #13 - Mirror Stamping

Hello everyone!! Piyanki and Indira here bringing to you another fun challenge at Mudra. This month we have a very interesting technique called 'Mirror Stamping'.

Mirror Stamping is a technique with which you can stretch your stamps by creating reverse images of your existing stamps. It involves inking up any stamp, stamping it on mirror image stamp or acetate, and then stamping the mirror image on paper to create a reverse image.

You can dig in your stash and find stamps which have larger surface area. Use the reverse of these stamps for mirror stamping. Alternatively, you may use a acetate sheet to stamp the mirror image.

Do keep a watch on Mudra blog to check out amazing inspirations by our Design Team all through the month.

Card Inspiration by Piyanki

Project Instructions

1. The card is measured at 5.5"x 4.25".
2. Cut a piece of coordinating paper and cut the edge with any decorating border die.
3. Overlay it with a black card stock.
4. Cut and score a white card stock and repeat stamp with black archival ink using the furry friends.
5. Adhere the panels using foam tape and stick it to the card base.
6. On a white cardstock stamp the image and color it with zig marker.
7. For the reverse stamping, I have stamped the image on a OHP sheet and then stamp the OHP sheet on the white card stock.
8. There are many ways to reverse stamp however if we do not own a MISTI then this is the simplest way we can achieve reverse stamping.
9. Once both the images are colored, adhere it to the center of the card base and finish the card with the sentiment at the bottom.
